After living in Capture One and Photoshop as my production tools the last six years, I recently looked at Lightroom again and I'm impressed. As a production tool its fast and easy to use once you get beyond which pallet your in and which one you need to be using.
One of my litmus test is black and white. I have a black and white process I love to use but it will only work with Photoshop. As someone who was trained in wet-process black and white I bring a few things for printing that I can still do via Photoshop. Lightroom is again offering me some useful black and white presets beyond the ugly green or red filter presets. Skin tones are my reference point and I'm happy with what Lightroom has brought to my production table.
